Crazy, a term which feels quite timely for me at this moment. School has resumed, Mommy is running more, and there just doesn't seem to be enough coffee or wine to help me wake up and help me relax. Now that sounds crazy, doesn't it?
Mommy is running like crazy, literally and figuratively. I've joined a racing team and am running more and more often with the group and on my own. Running is a great outlet for what ails you, but, for this Mommy, it comes with a tinge of guilt that I'm not home for breakfast, for homework and dinner, or whatever it is that is going on while I'm out piling up the miles. This, however, is only a passing thought and quickly leaves my mind once I'm running.
Since school is back in session, running isn't the only thing this Hot Mama is doing these days. Oh ya, there's work, a husband, two kids {read - several mouths to feed}, laundry, lunches, helping with homework, and, oh ya, work! Seriously, there are days when I wonder how I made it to the end of the day, because by the time my head hits the pillow (after 9PM), I'm more than ready for lights out!
I had great thoughts and wonderful things to say about being crazy, feeling crazy, and how not to judge those who really are crazy. Instead, the day got away from me and now, it's time for this Mama to enjoy a glass of wine before finally getting to bed.
Wine and coffee sounds totally sane to me;) Sometimes they are the only two liquids I ingest in a given day, LOL!
ReplyDeleteI applaud you for making the time in your schedule for "your thing." That sounds like running for you and I think we all should make time for at least one thing in the day that is just for us.
